SEPTIC-CON is an annual conference and trade show for the onsite septic industry in Tacoma, Washington. I’ve been working with them to help get the word out for the past several years, creating a logo for the event in 2020. The communications I work on include physical graphics for the trade show, a website, social media, videos, photography, and thank you notes. This year, I particularly enjoyed creating a social strategy to promote the event that included making original content to advertise it and encourage attendance.

We used a Facebook event page to promote SEPTIC-CON, and posted static images and videos consistently leading up to the event. The social strategy aimed to bring awareness, motivate signups, broadcast the benefits of attending to take required continuing education courses and promote networking opportunities. These are a couple of examples of video posts, which generated 2,286 views, representing a 91% increase in engagement from the following year.
